I lived. I loved. I was here.

I lived. I loved. I was here. When I open my mouth my whole heart comes out.. There's no place to hide - everything I've been feeling runs wild and free..

#DisneySketch365 Pocahontas. One of the most beautiful of all Disney Princesses. I wanted this sketch to look earthy so I sketched it in brown pencil. (I need to invest in a proper set of sketching pencils as colouring pencils aren’t quite right…) This ones going out to Edgar, as she’s his favourite.
I absolutely love the animation in this movie, released during what’s known as the ‘Disney Renaissance’. This was the era between 1989 and 1999 which saw the release of 10 extremely successful Disney animated movies. Fun fact about Pocahontas: She is the only Disney Princess to have a tattoo ;)
If you’d like to join in with #DisneySketch365 and help Great Ormond Street Hospital by donating, just visit www.givey.com/gregorygaige and give as much or as little as you can. You’ll be able to request a character and if you donate via the link you get to keep a hand signed print of your favourite sketch at the end :)

Here’s a lovely opportunity to donate for a great cause! :)
